⁵⁰ And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.

⁵¹ Jesus said, “Stop! No more of this.” Then he touched the servant’s ear and healed him.

⁵² Then Jesus said to those who had come to arrest him, the ·leading [^Tchief] priests, the officers of the temple guard, and the elders, “You came out here with swords and clubs as though I were a ·criminal [revolutionary; rebel; ^Lrobber; ^Ca term used by the Romans of insurrectionists].
